Nepal Telecom Offers Penalty Waiver on Outstanding Dues, Sets Deadline for Recovery

Nepal Telecom (NTC), the state-owned telecommunications giant, has announced a significant relief package for its customers with long-standing outstanding dues. This strategic move aims to recover substantial unpaid revenues while offering a golden opportunity for customers to clear their liabilities without incurring penalties, thereby strengthening the company's financial position.

According to a public notice issued by the company, customers who have accumulated outstanding fees for various services up to the fiscal year 2080/81 (ending mid-July 2024) will receive a complete waiver on all applicable penalties. To avail this benefit, customers must settle their principal outstanding amounts by the end of Poush, 2083 BS (mid-January 2027). This initiative covers a wide range of NTC's services, including landline, mobile, ADSL, and fiber internet, among others. The company has urged all eligible customers to utilize this limited-time offer by visiting their nearest telecommunication office to settle their dues promptly.

This move by NTC is not merely a gesture of goodwill but a calculated financial strategy.
