The Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, a pivotal event for the nation's automotive industry, successfully concluded on Sunday, August 11, 2024 (Shrawan 26, 2081 BS), drawing an unprecedented 180,000 visitors. This six-day exhibition, formally inaugurated on Sunday, August 4, 2024, by the Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (Naima), significantly surpassed its initial target of 150,000 attendees, underscoring a vibrant and growing interest in mobility solutions across Nepal.

The expo served as a dynamic platform, showcasing the latest advancements and diverse offerings from over 55 participating brands. A remarkable 53 new products were unveiled during the event, ranging from cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid models to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. The opening day on August 4 saw 29,000 attendees, followed by 26,000 on the second day, 22,000 on the third, 31,000 on the fourth, and a peak of over 42,000 on Saturday, August 9. The closing day alone attracted more than 30,000 visitors, demonstrating sustained public engagement right up to the end. Such high footfall is a strong indicator of consumer confidence and the increasing purchasing power within the Nepali market, particularly for automotive products.

Ritu Singh Vaidya, President of Naima, expressed immense satisfaction with the expo's outcome. "This expo is not merely the success of one individual or organization; it represents the collective triumph of Nepal's entire mobility industry," she stated during the closing ceremony. Vaidya emphasized that the event's achievements—over 55 brands, 180,000+ visitors, and 53 new product launches—are monumental milestones. She further highlighted Naima's commitment to fostering knowledge and learning alongside product display, asserting, "We believe an expo should not just be a platform for showcasing vehicles but also for generating knowledge." Akash Golchha, Chairman of Naima's Strategy and Membership Affairs Committee, succinctly described the expo as "superhit," encapsulating the widespread positive reception.
