Nepal Bolsters Border Security and Flood Preparedness with New CCTV Installations in Rasuwa

In a proactive move to enhance national security and disaster preparedness, Nepal has commenced the installation of advanced Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems along its border with China in the strategically vital Rasuwa district. This initiative, spearheaded by the Centre for Hydrology and Water Resources Research, is a direct response to the heightened risk of potential lake outbursts following the recent devastating flash floods in the Bhote Koshi River basin.
