A total of more than Rs. 30 crore has been announced so far for relief and support following the devastating floods in Rasuwa, with the list expected to grow as more organisations announce assistance. NRNA has pledged Rs. 5 crore, while RSP has announced Rs. 50 lakh for flood relief. Xtreme and Ncell have each announced Rs. 1 crore each, according to the figures provided. Meanwhile, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has released nearly CHF 1 million, equivalent to around Rs. 18.96 crore, to support the Nepal Red Cross response. American embassy announce 5 lakhs dollar for support. The floods that struck Rasuwa on August 26 yesterday caused widespread destruction, damaging homes, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities and other important infrastructure. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, while rescue and relief operations continue in the affected areas.
