Ingwa Hydropower Limited (IHL) has resumed partial electricity generation from it's 9.7 MW Upper Ingwa Khola Small Hydropower Project which is located across Panchthar and Taplejung districts. The project had remained shut down after severe floods and landslides triggered by continuous rainfall on Jestha 9, 2083 causing extensive damage to key infrastructure, including the intake, pipeline, powerhouse, and transmission line. Following repair and maintenance works, the company brought unit 1 f the plant back into operation at 7:17 PM on Shrawan 21, 2083.Power generation has now resumed from one of the project's two generating units.
