Muktinath Bikas Bank Signs Agreement with Nagarjun Municipality for Concessional Loans

Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Nagarjun Municipality to provide concessional loans aimed at promoting agriculture, tourism, small and medium enterprises and women entrepreneurship to generate local employment and boost economic activity.

The agreement was signed by Tej Bahadur Giri, Chief of the Agriculture and Inclusive Investment Department at Muktinath Bikas Bank and Sushila Karki, Acting Mayor of Nagarjun municipaltiy, in the presence of bank staff and represantives of the local body. Under the agreement, eligible entrepreneurs recommended by the municipality can obtain collateral-free loans of up to Rs 200,000 from the bank, depending on the nature of their business. Additionally, eligible borrowers will receive a 100 percent interest subsidy under the municipality's "Concessional Interest Subsidy Procedure, 2080." On the occasion, the bank reiterated its commitment to contributing to entrepreneurship development, expanding financial access, financial inclusion, and sustainable economic development through collaboration with local governments.
