NEPSE Index Loses 10.67 Points on the Last Trading Day of This Week; Only One Sector Close at Green
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss today, gaining by 10.67 points (0.40%) to close at 2,618.72. This follows a 7.17 point gain in the previous trading session. The benchmark index opened at 2,626.07 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,631.28 and a low of 2,614.04 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.16 Arba, with 10,022,765 shares traded across 344 companies through 59,805 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.04 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.25 Kharba. Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 50.65 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 2,775.00. Sarvottam Paints Industries Limited (SAPIL) hit the upper circuit with a 14.99% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 797.60.
Meanwhile, Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (DLBS) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 5.26%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 1027.00. Among sectors, the Mutual Fund Index recorded the highest gain, gaining by 0.03%, while the Others Index recorded the highest loss, down 1.06%.
