Uber Launches ‘Ride for Nepal’ Campaign, Pledges Rs. 50 Lakh for Flood Relief
Uber has launched the ‘Ride for Nepal’ campaign to support communities affected by recent floods in Nepal. The campaign will run from September 21 to October 20, 2026. As part of the campaign, Uber will provide Rs. 50 lakh to the Nepal Red Cross Society for emergency relief, temporary shelter and rehabilitation efforts.
Uber will also contribute Rs. 10 for every completed Uber Bike ride and Rs. 20 for every Uber Cab ride during the campaign to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The additional contributions will be made by Uber and will not affect the fares paid by passengers or the earnings received by drivers. The company said the campaign is intended to link everyday rides with relief and reconstruction efforts for flood-affected communities.
